#14: May 1, 2012. Watercolour on moleskine.
I gotta admit that I cheated a little bit with this one. Someone asked me yesterday whether I could “cheat” on my 1 portrait a day project and do several portraits all in one day.
I replied that the whole point of this project is to strictly follow a regimen of creating one portrait a day, and that part of the challenge of this was to be able to come up with work even when I’m short on time and resources.
That being said, I spent the night at a friend’s place ended up drawing my “May 1” portrait with red pen, on a wrinkled piece of scrap paper because I didn’t have my art materials with me.
But somewhere along my walk to my friendly neighborhood cafe today, I lost that piece of paper.
So I had to make another portrait.
So, I’ve cheated a bit by making May-1 and May-2 portraits on the same day.
Oh, well.
